For eating ramen a chirirenge (renge in short) or Chinese soup spoon, together with hashi, of course, is a necessary component in every ramen kitchen. It's basicly a hollow spoon with which you can easily scoop ramen noodle soup with. The spoon has either a flat bottom on which it can stand, but it's usually put in standing at the side of the bowl. This sturdy renge is made from melamine resin which can't break easily - which makes it very durable; has a good resistance to acid and alkali; can withstand temperatures from -30°C ~120°C - which makes it dishwasher safe (not suitable for not microwave however) and has a easy to clean non-stick surface. The spoon has an extra long handle with a hook that prevents it slipping into the bowl. Besides ramen perfect suitable for pho, soba, wonton, miso, and all traditional Asian soups.
